Keegan Lawler

Born in the Treasure Valley and raised in the Panhandle, Keegan is a writer originally from Idaho. He holds a BA in English from the University of Idaho and an MFA from Western Washington University.
His writing has been published or is forthcoming from the Los Angeles Review, Salon, Permafrost Magazine, Michigan Quarterly Review, the Offing, Tahoma Literary Review, and Phoebe Journal, among others. His chapbook, “My Own Private Idaho,” is forthcoming from Red Bird Chapbooks. His manuscript, Fairyboy: Notes on Growing Up Queer in Rural North Idaho, was selected as the runner-up for the 2024 Autumn House Press Nonfiction Prize.
He lives in Washington State with his family.
